On April 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Observatory of Institutional Male Violence (OVIM) will hold its II International Forum of Feminist Observatories, a space for meeting, reflection and exchange of knowledge between organizations that work in the documentation and analysis of male violence in its different contexts.
The event will take place at the Francesca Bonnemaison Space (Barcelona) and will have an in-person format, with pre-registration.
Presentation of the second OVIM report
One of the central moments of the day will be the presentation of second OVIM report, which in this edition focuses on: Childhoods, adolescences and institutional sexist violence.
A new report, one year after the presentation of the first oneThe project now delves deeper into how institutional violence specifically affects children and adolescents, highlighting patterns of sexist institutional violence and rights violations that often remain invisible. Through the analysis and systematization of cases, the OVIM seeks to contribute to public debate and the improvement of institutional responses.
A space for international dialogue
The forum will bring together different observatories, organizations, and professionals working in the field of gender-based violence, creating a space for dialogue to share methodologies, challenges, and lessons learned. Specifically, once again this year, we will have the participation of our colleagues from Observatorio Colombiano de Feminicidios, Observatorio Ciudadano Nacional del Feminicidio (OCNF) from Mexico and the Observatório das Mulheres (OM) from Mozambique.
The event aims to further strengthen networks and alliances, as well as advance in the construction of collective tools for the identification, denunciation and transformation of institutional sexist violence.
