- Within the framework of a series of conferences organised by the Aspacia Foundation in collaboration with other feminist organisations involved in combating institutional sexist violence.
- The event, open to the general public, will take place on December 4 at the Ecooo Space in the Spanish capital with the presence of feminist entities, activists and allied journalists.
On December 4th, from 10 a.m. to 13.30:XNUMX p.m., the conference 'Presentation of the Observatory of Institutional Machista Violence (OVIM): a dialogue on access to justice, institutional violence and feminist response' will be held in Madrid with the Aspacia Foundation as the main organizer together with the Asociación de Investigación y Especialización sobre Temas Iberoamericanos (AIETI), the Colectiva 1600s, the Associació Hèlia y Almena Cooperativa Feminista, these last two entities from Barcelona and promoters of the first Observatory of Institutional Gender-Based Violence (OVIM) in the Spanish State.

The objective of the day is to develop a debate on the Access to justice for women, institutional sexist violence and the feminist response with a dialogue table in which will participate:
- Marta Cabezas Fernández. Research professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid.
- Tania Sordo Ruz. Jurist and researcher specializing in gender and human rights.
- Virginia Gil Portolés. Director of the Aspacia Foundation.
- Tatiana Retamozo Quintana. Lawyer, activist for the rights of migrant women – AIETI.
The OVIM will also be presented during the day. This is a civil society platform for political and social advocacy, which ensures that institutions act with due diligence and guarantee the right to a life free of gender-based violence and discrimination against women, girls, boys and adolescents. Specifically, its collective complaint channel, aimed at documenting cases and stories, anonymously, about situations of institutional sexist violence experienced. Since its official launch in March of this year, the OVIM has already recorded more than 110 stories of institutional sexist violence. In addition, all the organizations that make up the OVIM (more than 20 spread throughout the Spanish State) are working on the publication of their first report for the first half of 2025.
